1:1 Recovery Coaching
Coaching helps bridge the gap between recovery and real life to help you create sustainable change. Working with me is personalized and collaborative, focusing on real-time awareness focused on you as a unique person rather than a standardized curriculum or program. Sessions are focused on helping you apply recovery in daily life. I partner with you and any of your other providers to empower you to take courageous action in the toughest moments and work towards what truly matters to you.
Eating disorders are complex and recovery is too. They are shaped by biology, learnings, lived experience, culture, nervous system responses, and relationships. Because of this, healing requires more than insight alone.
My Approach To Recovery Coaching
Recovery is not about trying harder. Many people come to coaching exhausted from fighting themselves—trying harder, criticizing themselves, or forcing change only to feel stuck and wonder why recovery still feels so hard. I believe lasting change happens differently. Recovery isn’t just about doing things differently—it’s changing how we relate to ourselves.
Eating disorders are not simply behaviors to stop or thoughts to challenge. Over time, they become deeply reinforced patterns shaped by biology, nervous system protection, lived experience, and learnings. This is why recovery can feel so hard.
My approach integrates compassion, neuroscience, practical support, and a biological understanding of eating disorders to help you better understand what is keeping you stuck and create new experiences that support lasting change.
Rather than relying on shame, force, or white-knuckling recovery, we work with your brain and nervous system to build greater flexibility, trust, and freedom over time.
Offerings
Recovery Support Sessions
1:1 collaborative coaching sessions to help you build momentum, create self-trust, and find more agency to support lasting change. We meet weekly or biweekly and explore about what’s coming up in your recovery and find ways to help you move forward.
Between-Session Support
Recovery isn’t only something that happens in sessions so it can be easy to lose traction. Working together includes optional access to me between sessions to provide extra support, clarity, and feedback to help you navigate recovery in real life.
Supported Eating
1:1 supported eating sessions are designed to help you build consistency and compassionately challenge yourself. I’ll join you while you eat, and we’ll move through it together. These sessions are there to help you stay accountable & rewire your brain in a way that feels supportive.
How It Works
-
We start with weekly or biweekly meetings because consistency matters when trying to change long-standing patterns. Regular meetings helps us troubleshoot challenges as they arise and practice new ways to approach them. Over time, it also helps us build a really solid working relationship, which tends to make the work more effective.
Standard sessions are 50-minutes with the option split the time into two 25-min sessions or extend to 75-minutes.
Beyond sessions I also provide:Personalized resources and recommendations (links, podcasts, books, videos, accounts, etc.)
Personalized reflective prompts and tools to practice between sessions
Summaries of sessions, including takeaways and goals
Messaging support to stay connected to your goals
-
Recovery happens outside of sessions which is why I offer between-session messaging to help you with applying insights and intentions in real life
You’ll have someone to share your progress with and provide encouragement, feedback, and accountability during the hard moments.
Between-session support is meant to help you stay connected to your goals and practice recovery skills in real time. -
Recovery is personal not a program which is why there are no long-term contracts here. You simply pay by the offering and week; we choose a frequency that is right for you.
-
If you’re working with a therapist, dietitian, psychiatrist, physician, or other provider, I will collaborate with them—with your consent—to ensure consistency and the highest quality of support.
It’s important your support team is aligned. Coaching can complement clinical care by helping you apply insights and recommendations in your day-to-day life. -
I offer coaching virtually, which means you can access support wherever you are. You deserve care that is aligned for you no matter where you live; virtual sessions make that possible.
I also provide in-person support in central Pennsylvania!
-
Our work together is individualized and we move at a pace that is right for you as a unique person. It’s not about digging into the past, it’s about creating a foundation of mutual respect that supports your healing journey and helps prevent further harm.
